MORE Alameda Agricultural History – Dec. 14

with Eric Kos, Co-founder and Co-Publisher, Alameda Sun
Monday, December 14, 2015 (6:30 – 7:30 PM)
Rhythmix Cultural Works, 2513 Blanding Ave., Alameda

Sun publisher and local historian Eric J. Kos will again join us for our annual winter holiday potluck, presenting still more earthy tales of Alameda’s agricultural heritage. Compiling information from a variety of sources, Kos will discuss the widespread techniques and products of Alameda agriculture through the years. From cornering the Early Knit Pea market to the Fernside back pasture, from squatter strawberries to dairy cows wreaking havoc, come find out what Eric unearthed about Alameda’s farming past. Eric will have his books available for purchase.

We’ll also have potluck holiday treats to celebrate the winter season. Bring your favorites to share, or just your appetite!
