Alameda Backyard Growers and the Alameda Sun have partnered up to offer a limited number of free fruit or shade trees to plant in Alameda gardens (but not in containers or lawns). Recipients must attend an orientation to learn how to care for their trees and must have suitable space. Renters eligible with tree-planting permission from their landlords!
