Drought, Water Supply and the Resilient Landscape

Join us on May 11 to learn more about edible gardening in the midst of our severe drought conditions.  Scott Summerfield from East Bay MUD will provide an update on the drought and water supply and discuss sustainable landscape gardening principles for residential landscapes, including efficient irrigation for vegetable gardens and fruit trees.

Mr. Sommerfeld is an irrigation specialist and registered landscape architect, and has been a Water Conservation Representative with the East Bay Municipal Utility District for the last 16 years, working with cities, counties, developers, and water district customers to evaluate irrigation systems and to provide recommendations regarding irrigation efficiency upgrades and best management practices.
