Love those beautiful little oak trees. I cannot wait to teach under their shade.

Did they move it away from the old diesel depot? I don't see the cement structures from the abandoned fuel installation.

Where do you sign up to get a spot?

Is there a website or any other kind of online presence for this garden?

Matt Tyler

I live right next-door to the park and I’ve been watching over the last couple days as they have cut down most of the trees that were there already. It looks like a vast wasteland right now. Can see clean across the park. Why?

She deserves this honor; can only hope the politicians and bureaucrats don't screw it up.

I hope it’s going to be raised garden plots or that extensive soil testing is done bc I don’t think I’d want to eat anything grown in the soil there (former industrial site/train yard) - just saying 🤔

How exciting I would love a spot as well!

They didn’t do remediation on the base, which was heavily contaminated with diesel fuel and other oil products, so I wouldn’t think they’d bother now.

Yesterday, Jordan Taylor from Ploughshares Nursery delivered an exceptional talk about growing tomatoes. Did you know that the tomatoes that fruit all summer long (aka indeterminate tomatoes) are also called “vining” tomatoes? They can grow up to 10 feet tall and while cages work, they are best supported by sturdy tall supports. Thank you Jordan! ... See MoreSee Less
