Rainwater Harvesting

Tuesday, November 27, 2018, 7:00 – 8:30 pm
Rhythmix Cultural Works, 2513 Blanding, Alameda

It’s FINALLY raining, and we’re hoping for a very rainy winter. But you never know. Even if we don’t get as much rain as we’d like, you can expand the water available for your plants by harvesting rainwater and using greywater. Find out about these systems and their benefits and drawbacks from a local expert.

About our Speaker:

Natalie Kilmer operates The Little Acre, an Oakland-based mini-farming and gardening business using the principles of permaculture and the methods of biointensive farming.  She encourages her clients to consider both rainwater and greywater systems and has extensive experience in designing and installing both types of systems. Natalie leads hands-on workshops with Greywater Action.

Note: This meeting is one week later than our normal meeting schedule.
