The Bay Farm Island Library is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Friends of the Alameda Library on Saturday, March 8, from 10 AM to 4 PM. Volunteers are needed for planting (10 AM – 12 PM) and mulching (12 PM – 4 PM), with hourly shifts available. Volunteers can sign up for multiple shifts and are encouraged to bring their own gloves and trowels. The goal is to recruit 20-25 volunteers for the early shifts and 30-35 for later shifts. Interested individuals can sign up online, call (510) 747-7787, or email rvanlare@alamedaca.gov.

Thank you to all ABG community members for your support and engagement—we appreciate your help in making this event a success!
