Dec 8, 2012 – Wreath-Making Workshop at Alameda Main Library

From our friends at the Green Thumbs, Green Minds Program at the Alameda Free Library…

Come to the Main Library on Saturday, December 8th, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., for a Wreath-Making Workshop. Learn how to construct wreaths from Jocelyn Prestwich of Ploughshares Nursery! This class has been a favorite the last two years! Seasonal holiday decorations made of natural materials can create a fun and festive atmosphere indoors and outdoors. Wreath-making is one of the easiest and most popular crafts, providing the senses with many delights – not only do they look beautiful, they can perfume the air around them. We’ll gather trimmings from the nursery’s gardens to make into your own handmade wreath. Bring clippers, floral wire, wire hangers, ribbon, and other decorative items you’d like to add.

Everyone is welcome at this free program, which will be held at the Main Library, 1550 Oak Street. Please sign up at the Main Library. For more information, please call 510-747-7713.
