When: June 14, 2025 - 10am to noon
Where: Mastick Senior Center - Room D, 1155 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda, CA 94501
Description of workshop:
Creating your own herbal tea blends is a beautiful way to stay connected to nature throughout the different cycles and seasons of the year. In this workshop, we’ll cover the essentials of harvesting, drying, and storing herbs to preserve their potency for long-term use. We’ll also explore the beneficial properties of common, low-risk herbs, many of which can easily be grown in Bay Area gardens. Participants will craft their own personalized tea blends to take home, along with the knowledge of how to incorporate these plants into their daily routine for greater health and vitality, as well as connection and belonging to the earth.
Facilitator: Danièle Fogel, PhD, founder of Yervika, an organization fostering connection and belonging through herbs.
