Got Plants? ABG’s Annual Plant Sale Takes Place on April 19 from Noon - 3PM!

We have curated an excellent selection of summer veggies and beautiful flowers to feed you and your pollinator friends through the summer. In addition to 15 varieties of Marla’s Famous Tomatoes, we will have 3 zucchinis, winter squashes, cucumbers, Romano beans, 2 basil varieties and 4 peppers - including Shishitos and Padrons - spinach and collard greens. We will also have a selection of flowers grown withour neonicotinoids so you can feel safe planting them for your pollinators. These include, arroyo lupine, coast buckwheat, tithonia, marigolds, nasturtiums and zinnias.

Come join us at Alameda’s Spring Shindig at Alameda Point Gym & Field, 1101 W. Redline Avenue and get your garden growing!

Spring is Here & So are the Seeds!

As the light returns, it is almost time to plant the seeds of summer crops - beans, squashes, cucumbers, pumpkins, collards, carrots. So much yum! Here at ABG, our dedicated volunteers have been busy packing seeds for weeks now and all of our seed libraries are freshly stocked with summer seeds.

In this time of uncertainty and rising prices, there is no better way to reduce stress than to plant a garden, even if it is just a few pots. And, if you reuse containers and get free compost at the compost hub, it can be a great way to save some money on your grocery bill!
