Join us for a visit to the Master Gardeners Trial Gardens at Lake Merritt! At 10 am, we will enjoy a talk by Sam Foushee, Master Gardener (and great speaker) on winter gardening. Between 11 and 12, our group will tour the interesting, educational and inspirational trial gardens.

SAM FOUSHEE started the Alameda County Master Gardeners tabling program at the Berkeley Farmers’ Market in 2001, and went on to assist in getting outreach started at numerous other venues. He was on the MG Board for a number of years, and served as President for much of that time. He and David Blood developed the Trials Garden at Lake Merritt in 2007 after Sam was inspired by a visit to a demonstration garden of the Santa Clara County Master Gardeners. The Trials Garden has been his main focus in recent years.
