Lemons & Oranges – Sat. Feb 21 at 2:00 PM

Thank you for volunteering to pick lemons & oranges on Saturday, February 21 at 2:00 PM.

The van will be accompanying volunteers we will have extendable pickers and other equipment for this job.

If you would like to pick with someone specific, please have them fill in the form when you do.

You need to have a signed waiver on file before harvesting fruit. If you have not already done so, please click here, to complete the waiver.

Because the Alameda Food Bank has a ‘grocery store’ format, the fruit we deliver must be in good condition:

• Do not pick up fruit that has fallen on the ground before you got there.
• Do not keep fruit that has mold, bruises, bite marks or any other large blemishes.
• Citrus: try to keep the skin intact. Twist off the fruit or use a clipper if possible. (Sometimes the stem gets ripped out – keep those for yourselves).
