Meet Our Community Partners

Tuesday, December 10, 2013
(6:30 – 8:00 PM)
Rhythmix Cultural Works
2513 Blanding Avenue, Alameda

Come learn about other organizations working for a greener, better-fed, healthier Alameda. Then join us for some holiday cheer! We’ll have short presentations by ABG leaders and several of ABG’s community partners, including:

  • Alameda Food Bank
  • Ploughshares Nursery
  • Farm2Market
  • Community Action for a Sustainable Alameda
  • Alameda Backyard Chickens
  • Alameda County Master Gardeners
  • Project LEAF
  • Alameda Parks and Recreation Department, on the Jean Sweeney Open Space and opportunities for community gardening there.

We’ll end with holiday treats (feel free to add to our potluck if you’d like), as well as time for individual questions, answers and networking.

We look forward to seeing you there!

ABG meetings are held monthly on second Tuesdays at Rhythmix Cultural Works (unless otherwise noted). Monthly meetings and workshops are free and open to all residents of Alameda and the surrounding area. Gardeners of all experience levels are welcome!

Monthly meetings are also a great time to drop off fruit and vegetable donations from your garden for the Alameda Food Bank. We deliver members’ produce to the food bank the following morning where it is typically distributed to food bank clients within 24 hours.
